Norman Borlaug was an American agronomist and humanitarian who was named “The father of the Green Revolution.” He took up an agricultural research position in Mexico, where he developed semi-dwarf, high-yield, disease-resistant wheat varieties that more than doubled wheat production. Later, he took this technology to Pakistan and India. All of this was out of the desire to do good for others.
