The chair is made up of 3 different elements that stand for three different types of trust. The back of the chair (wood) stands for trust in others where you can lean against it and rest. The seat of the chair (brushed aluminum) stands for trust in self. The base of the chair, which is a clear bulletproof glass (Lexan) is the strongest part of the chair stands for trust in God and is an almost unseen element unless you pay close attention.
The back of the chair (trust in others) cannot stand without the seat (trust in self) and the entire chair cannot stand without the base (trust in God).
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1 NIV
